- If you travel by plane from the Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos", then your trip will take only 45 minutes with the plane landing at Santorini (Thira) National Airport, in the area of Monolithos.
- If however you choose to travel by sea, ships depart from the ports of Piraeus and Rafina. If you travel by passenger boat (ferry boat) from Piraeus, you will reach Santorini in approximately 8 hours, while with the high-speed craft, from the same port, you will reach Santorini in approximately 5 hours. If you depart from Rafina Port, you will then reach Santorini Port (Athinios) in approximately 4 hours and 20 minutes.
